I started the first round of ADHD testing today (the second round is next Monday), and the tester asked me about spelling. I've read that being bad at spelling goes along with having ADHD. The thing is, I've always been good at spelling, and that makes me think that because of that, they're going to think it's something else and not ADHD ( Read more... )

How many times have we heard  the statistic that ADHD is more prevalent in boys than in girls? Most clinical studies on ADHD use a majority of male subjects. What would you recommend I look for in a specialist (neuropyschologist).  What questions should I ask?

I'm looking at getting a formal evaluation to figure out WTF is going on with me, and I have no idea where to start.  Self-diagnosis will only get you so far..
